Isn't the blood of Jesus enough to appease the wrath of bible fundamentalists' god?

Bible fundamentalists say that their god is angry because people don't believe in him, so he makes the natural disasters strike people. Why is it important for the god of bible fundamentalists that people believe he exists? Does his existence depend heavily on people's belief in him?
