Deathly scared of doctors?!?

I'm REALLy scared of doctors and I have an Ingrown toe nail!!! What will they do!? I am mainly scared of the numbing part!! How do they numb it and how did it feel on a scale 1-10! Can they put me to sleep?? Where do they stick the needle when numbing? Someone PLeASE!!! I'm so scared!
