Why does my girlfriend want to go separate ways after what shes said previously?

Poor guy. I think she's only doing it to protect you. She's obviously just as in love with you as you are with her. The only reason I can think of is that her ex keeps threatening to do something to you and she doesn't want you hurt. Maybe back off for a while, but still be a friend to her. That's really what she needs. Then when this is all over, you can go about getting back together. Good luck!
