How to hang a tapestry? Limited resources :( please help?

Alright you creative people out there, I need someone to give me tips on how to hang a tapestry. I tried to tack it up on my wall... that ended miserably. My wall is too strong for any of that. I also tried those temporary stick-on hook things. They kept falling and I eventually ran out of the special sticky tape. I'll probably have to go out and get Velcro or something. But I was wondering if there are any "around the house" type of items I might be able to use to hang up this thing (and please don't suggest hammering a nail into the wall.)
