How can I convince my friend that Christianity is not a primitive desert death cult?

I mean, when I try to explain Jesus' sacrifice to all mankind, he just laughs at me and tells me that I am worshiping and idolizing a human blood sacrifice that took place 2,000 years ago to appease an invisible monster called Yahweh.
